SPIRITUAL TRUTH

October 14th-20th

Philippians; Colossians

I Can Do All Things through Christ Whitch Strengtheneth Me"

When was the last time you read the spiritual impressions you have recorded during your study of the New Testament? It might be helpful to review the promptings you've been reciving.

RECORD YOUR IMPRESSIONS

Paul wrote his epistles to the Philippians and Colossianswhile he was in prison.
But thess letters don't have the the tone you might expect from someone in prison,
Paul spoke more about joy, rejoicing and thanksgiving than he did afflictions and trials: "Christ is preached , "he said , "and therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice" ( Philippians 1:18 ). "Though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit , beholding ... the steadfastness of your faith in Christ" ( Colossians 2:5 ).
Certainly, "the peace of God " that Paul experienced in the difficult circumstances "passeth all understanding"
( Philippians 4:7 ), butn it was nonetheless a reality. In our own trials, we can feel this same peace and "rejoice in the Lord always" ( Philippians 4:4 ). We can, as Paul did rely completely upon JesusChrist which strengtheneth me
" ( Philippians 4:13 ) see also ( Colossians 1:11 ).

Ideas for Personal Scripture Study

Philppians 2:12-13

Do we "work out our own salvation"?

The phrase "work out your own salvation" is used by some people to support the idea that we are only by our own efforts.
But that's a limited view, just as it is limited to undersatnd Paul's teaching- "by grace are ye saved through faith" ( Ephesians 2:8 ) - to mean that no works are required for salvation.
The scriptures, including the writings of Paul, clearly teach the need for both the grace of Jesus Christ and personal effort in order to receive salvation.
As Nephi said, "It is by the grace that we are saved, after all we can do" ( 2Nephi 25:23 ). Even in our own efforts to work out our salvation, "It is God which worketh in you" ( Philippians 2:13 ) also see ( Philippians 1:6 ) Bible Dictionary, Grace" ).

The Gospal of JesusChrist is worth every sacrifice.

Paul gave up much when he converted to the gospal of Jesus Christ, including the influential place he held in Jewish society as a Pharisee. In ( Philippians 3:5-14, look for what Paul gained because he was willing to make sacrifices for the gospel.
How did he feel about his sacrifices?
Then consider your own discipleship.
What have you sacrificed for the gospel of JesusChrist?
What have you received?
Are there any additional sacrifices you feel you need to make to become a more dedicated disciple of the Savior?

Philippians 4:1-13

I can find joy in Christ regardless of my circumstances

Paul's life is a vivid illustration of the truth expressed by #PresidentRobertMNelson: "When the foucus of our lives is on ---Jesus Christ and his gospel , we can feel joy regardless of what is happening ---or not happening--in our lives.
Joy comes from and because of Him'' ( ''Joy and Spiritual
Survival,'' Ensign or Liahona, Nov, 2016, 82).
As you read Philippians -- particularly chapter 4 -- search for statements that can help you find joy in your circumstance of your life.
When you have experienced "the peace of God'' during a challenging time? ( verse 7 ).
When have you found strength "through Christ to do hard things ? ( verse 13 ).
Why do you think it is important to "be content" in all circumstances? ( verse11 ).
How can practicing the atributes in #verse8 help you find joy in your circumstances?

Colossians 1:12-23

My faith is founded on Jesus Christ.

Here's a study approach you could try with almost any chapter of scripture, though it works especially well with Colossians 1;12-23
Search the verses for anything you learn about Jesus Christ , and make a list of what you find.
Why do you feel it is important to know these things about the Savior?

Colossians 3;1-17

Disciples of Jesus Christ become "new " as they live his gospel.

How do you know if the gospal of Jesus Christ is helping you become a "new man [ or woman ] "? One way to find out is to explore Colossians 3:1-17 and make a list of attitudes , attributes of the "old man" and another list of attitudes , attributes and actions of the "new man."

Does your study of these verses inspire any thoughts about how the gospel is changing you?
Record your thoughts so that you can review them in the future and ponder how you are progressing.

Ideas for Family Home Evening

As you read the scriptures with your family, the Spirit can help you know what principles to emphasize and discuss in order to meet the needs of your family.
Philippians
Your family notice the words #joy or #rejoice repeated often in Philippians. Each time you come accross one of these words, you could stop ans discuss what Paul taught about how to find joy.
Philippians 2:14-15

How can we "shine as a lights in the world"?

Philippians 4:8
Perhaps your family could identify things to "think on" that fit discriptions in the verse ( see also Articals of Faith 1:13 ).
How would your family be blessed by folowing Paul's counsel?/
Colossians 1:9-11-11;2:2-3
What can we do to increase "in the knowledge of God"?
What "treasures of wisdom aand knowlege" do we find in the gospel?
Colossians 1:23;2:7
Perhaps your family could read these verses sitting or looking at a picture of a tree ( such as that one accompanies this this outline ).
What does it mean to be "grounded" and "rooted" in Christ?

How can we help each other strengthen our spiritual roots?

Mormon Member Thought & Feeling

This feeling that I know that we all get within us even if we do not notice it within us at any give point , time but eventually we do feel it when we are not in deep thought of other things in our own self , life even in while dealing with things that we all deal with, handle , even as we do feel that we are forcing ourselves to ignore it when we should never ignore any positive emotional & spiritual sense , feeling we have , we get with in us even as we listen to a soothing positive songs that are strong , positive , spiritual that we can all be , even feel spiritually , emotionally uplifted by within us to start that also can help us make the days , weeks thatwe are all in at present , even after the week / days that we have not felt so enriched within ourselves for any reason , no matter what is or has been on our minds/ thoughts that have the ability to drag us down from within emotionally but if we allow it to do so is the key that no one really sees that but that is not a fault of or even because of anyone even ourselves its simply apart of what happens in each of our lives that we would rather not have happen to us at all but it is that of what we can learn from , build ourselves to become emotionally stronger to where we can counteract.

Any one of many ways is to always think ,speak positively & I know that it is always easier said then done even if , when we say it ourselves even as we use it as advice to , for others that we know , are beginning to know, even for many in each of our families , friends , others around us & even those we work along with in any job we do , even when we do many things that we volunteer in doing even when it is helping Heavenly Fathers many other children , even when we get blessed for doing so.

And what can also uplift us from within ourselves that will eventually show as a beam of light that surrounds us that many will , do take notice of is listening to music like this that is on this post.

It is always a positive to listen to music like this because it is a reminder that we are never alone , we have never trully been alone even if we see that no other person is there for us we are reminded by songs like this on this post that Heavenly Father & Our Savior Jesus Christ -In who I personally call our Spirituall brother even with the fact that I know he is our Savior as well -In any case both Heavenly Father & Our Savior Jesus Christ is , has been , will always be with us.

They will always be with us , love us ,they will always help us with , though many things, they will guide us through many things with their loving grace, hearts, hands all in one, with that they will comfort us as well.

I know that I do not say this , many other things like this because I do not or even I can not always find ways to express it but the reason that I am doing so in expressing it I am listening to up;ifting spiritual music that the Moremon Taberinacle Choir is singing , even the songs that they have already sang as I started typing this on this post , its very heartfelf , spiritually emotional as well , its filling me with more then hope to start & within my being I am feeling strong , deeply emotional as it comes through my being with in me.

I encourage everyone to listen to this song , many others that follow it on this link on this post you will feel the same way yet I know in your own special way , that is how he made us where we feel many things that are positive to start but not at the same time as many others would , do feel at any given day & time but we do eventually feel it as I have , that I am even as I type this.

I can add that before I typed this post that I did pray to Heavenly Father in our Saviors name & it has helped me, it is still gradually clearing out all that is negative with in me, keeping all emotions , feelings with in me even spiritually with in me strong, its flowing through my innerself as it does that , even as I continue to listen to the music that the Mormon Tabernacle Choir is singing.

I can add that I feel spiritually uplifted, it will carry on strong from there as even time itself rolls on/

I do more then understand that as we go through things , even as we are faced with, having to deal with many things in our own lives day to day that we more then often lose the sense thought , feeling that we are not alone that Heavenly Father , our savior is , has , will always be with us , help , guide , comfort us but we do not always realize at times in our lives that with the base of prayers , reading scriptues , listening to music again like whats on this post to start we can get / gain that back, we can do what we know how to -To keep it within us , we can also use this , help many that want to truly be helped when they are trully ready to hear what is , has been said on this post to start.

And with that we can help not only ourselves through it but we can help many of Heavenly Fathers children through it , as they work with it within their own lives / their own inner -being / with in their own self.

That I know can be both helpful, beneficial not only for us but as we help others with & through it - It can help them as well & even if they do not see it as wel help them we can encourage them but not in a overbearing way or nanner , I know that would not be our true intent but eventually they will see we are doing the help in a positive way , manner , in time they will thank us , with that as we all know we will be blessed for that as well.

In with that they will know in their own way as we do in our own way that Heavenly Father & Our Savior has not left their side at all , that Heavenly Father & Our Savior Jesus Christ will never leave our side no matter what , they will never leave the side of tose that we help with , through it the best , spiritually positive way that we know how to even as Heavenly Father & Our Savior Jesus Christ helps us help them , I know fpr many if they do not already feel it with in them even before they do help other children of Heavenly Fathers they can always pray for guidance in as they help the other person be that a male of female in a spiritually positive way , it can be also helful for us that help other children of Heavenly Father's to have both sister & brother missionaries with us as we help other children of Heavenly Father's.

This I know to be true for I say this in the name of our loving Saviors name -In the name of Jesus Christ -- Amen..

Mormon Member Thoughts :
It has been done more then it should be done by many , against many for any reason that is simply made up by any person that is normally mixed in with emotion , more, what that is -Is known as emotional judgments- It has been done by many in talks of uplifing the person or persons by many on stages , other & any event / gathering when it is done by many even ourselves even with not wanting to admit that.
This also happens with in our own family circles both of our own , our spouces families on either the man;s side of the family or the womans side of the family & at times it can be from both the man's , woman's side of the families at thesame time but different levels of it even can look , seem & feel like its at the same level as the other side is at when its not.still do it at various points , times in each persons life.
It still seems to be accepted by society in why many still do it in each persons lifetime , against / towards another person,
It has been more then known to be done by mostly loved ones like your mothers or fathers, even by your siblings like sisters & brothers , cousins , Nephew's & neices , grandpartents , step parents , friend's to start.
It has even done by ourselves even at that same point none of the manty that do it want to freely admit that it is being done by them because if they do admit it they would feel as less of a person , shameful.
So instead the person no matter who it is try's to convince themselves they are justified / in the right as they try to emotionally tear down the other person , while doing so they feel better about themselvers , this can be done because the person grew up around it even as it was coninually done to them so they grew up thinking , believing that its okay to do so even to an offspring be that your child at say to start the offsprings teenage to older age's & many will say things that they trully do not really mean even if , when they say that they do not truly mean starting with if they say something like go ahaed , kill yourself or hurt youself in any other way no matter what way it would be.
And when it is done to any person they fall into the emotional trap , repeat it back at the other person that is & has been doing it to them without ignoring it , simply walking away , not saying a thing to the one that is doing the sinfully negative verbal actions.
It can be said that the eason it is being done by the one to the other for the simple reason of the need that the person wants attention , acceptance , more & feels that they have never really felt that they are or were or even to where they felt or feel they never truly got any & as they do it they do also know that there are many other more logical , positive productive , realistic non hateful , nonharmful ways to get it but they instaed do it the illogical emotional hurtful way because they feel its the only way that they will be heard as they do it , they think many will respect them mre then the person has felt if at all.
So it is my belief , positive thought that we must walk away from the negativity , pray to Heavenly Father in Our Saviors name For help , guidance to better handle things even in others if we are not able to find ways to better handle it , with that pray for those that are trubled in who feel that they are in the right in by trying to emotionally tearing you or anyone else down for any reason no matter what it is or might have been , even no matter what it maybe.
Heavenly Father will help you , others through many things even in this situation , issue.
This is what I know to be true for I say it in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ -AMEN...

Lattter Day Saints

Power to Change

Although I was born into the Church and was active through the age of 15, I wandered from the gospel during young adulthood. During that time, in search of something that could make me happy, I turned to drugs.
I struggled with an ever-increasing addiction, and my life felt like some sort of bad movie I could not turn off. Although I wanted to stop, I found I had hardly any control over my thoughts or actions. It wasn’t until I was serving a prison sentence for a drug-related crime that I found what I had lost. I had a copy of the Book of Mormon and came across Alma 5:7: “Behold, he changed their hearts; yea, he awakened them out of a deep sleep, and they awoke unto God. Behold, they were in the midst of darkness; nevertheless, their souls were illuminated by the light of the everlasting word.”
I knew I was in the midst of darkness, and I wanted to have my heart changed.
It wasn’t that I hadn’t tried changing before. I had participated in various recovery programs. I had tried quitting for myself and for my family. Those things all worked for a little while, but I always slipped. This verse in Alma offered me hope in Jesus Christ—hope that even if I didn’t have the power to change myself (and I knew I didn’t), He could change me.
I remember turning the burden of my addiction over to the Savior. I prayed and admitted to Heavenly Father, “I cannot do this on my own.”
I entered the LDS addiction recovery program, a 12-step class taught by two missionaries, a husband and wife. What they taught in that class saved me. They nurtured the seed of faith that had been planted many years earlier, when as a child I attended church with my mother. The missionaries taught me about repentance and forgiveness. More important, they showed me love and told me I could find even greater love from my Heavenly Father and Savior. I felt “a mighty change wrought in [my] heart” (Alma 5:12), and I found that the happiness I had so long been searching for had been in the gospel all along.
It has been six years since I decided to turn to my Savior. It has been a lot of hard work, but through the strength of the Lord, I have overcome many obstacles.
I never would have imagined the happiness and joy I now have in my life with my wife and children. I hold the Melchizedek Priesthood and have received temple ordinances. I attribute these positive life transformations to Jesus Christ. He is the power to change.
I testify to others who are struggling as I did—and to those who love them—that change is possible and that it’s very real. You need not give up hope. There is a way to return to happiness, and it is through Jesus Christ.
For information about the addiction recovery program, please see your priesthood leader or visit www.ldsfamilyservices.org. The program’s manual, Addiction Recovery Program: A Guide to Addiction Recovery and Healing (item no. 36764), is available in many languages.
Turning the burden of my addiction over to the Savior, I prayed and admitted to Heavenly Father, “I cannot do this on my own.”
Healing the Broken Heart, by Michael T. Malm

Chapter 5

To gain salvation, men must repent and keep the commandments, be born again, cleanse their garments through the blood of Christ, be humble and strip themselves of pride and envy, and do the works of righteousness—The Good Shepherd calls His people—Those who do evil works are children of the devil—Alma testifies of the truth of his doctrine and commands men to repent—The names of the righteous will be written in the book of life. About 83 B.C.
Now it came to pass that Alma began to adeliver the word ofbGod unto the people, first in the land of Zarahemla, and from thence throughout all the land.
And these are the words which he spake to the people in the church which was established in the city of Zarahemla, according to his own record, saying:
I, Alma, having been aconsecrated by my father, Alma, to be abhigh priest over the church of God, he having power andcauthority from God to do these things, behold, I say unto you that he began to establish a church in the dland which was in the borders of Nephi; yea, the land which was called the land of Mormon; yea, and he did baptize his brethren in the waters of Mormon.
And behold, I say unto you, they were adelivered out of the hands of the people of king Noah, by the mercy and power of God.
And behold, after that, they were brought into abondage by the hands of the Lamanites in the wilderness; yea, I say unto you, they were in captivity, and again the Lord did deliver them out ofbbondage by the power of his word; and we were brought into this land, and here we began to establish the church of God throughout this land also.
And now behold, I say unto you, my brethren, you that belong to this church, have you sufficiently retained in aremembrance the captivity of your fathers? Yea, and have you sufficiently retained in remembrance his mercy and long-suffering towards them? And moreover, have ye sufficiently retained in remembrance that he has bdelivered their souls from hell?
Behold, he changed their hearts; yea, he awakened them out of a deep sleep, and they awoke unto God. Behold, they were in the midst of darkness; nevertheless, their souls were illuminated by the light of the everlasting word; yea, they were encircled about by the abands of death, and the bchains of hell, and an everlasting destruction did await them.
And now I ask of you, my brethren, were they destroyed? Behold, I say unto you, Nay, they were not.
And again I ask, were the bands of death broken, and theachains of hell which encircled them about, were they loosed? I say unto you, Yea, they were loosed, and their souls did expand, and they did bsing redeeming love. And I say unto you that they are saved.
10 And now I ask of you on what conditions are they asaved? Yea, what grounds had they to hope for salvation? What is the cause of their being loosed from the bands of death, yea, and also the chains of hell?
11 Behold, I can tell you—did not my father Alma believe in the words which were delivered by the amouth of Abinadi? And was he not a holy prophet? Did he not speak the words of God, and my father Alma believe them?
12 And according to his faith there was a mighty achange wrought in his heart. Behold I say unto you that this is all true.
13 And behold, he apreached the word unto your fathers, and a mighty change was also wrought in their hearts, and they humbled themselves and put their btrust in the true and cliving God. And behold, they were faithful until the dend; therefore they were saved.
14 And now behold, I ask of you, my brethren of the church, have ye aspiritually been bborn of God? Have ye received his image in your countenances? Have ye experienced this mighty cchange in your hearts?
15 Do ye exercise faith in the redemption of him who acreatedyou? Do you look forward with an eye of faith, and view this mortal body raised in immortality, and this corruption braised in incorruption, to stand before God to be cjudged according to the deeds which have been done in the mortal body?
16 I say unto you, can you imagine to yourselves that ye hear the voice of the Lord, saying unto you, in that day: Come unto me yeablessed, for behold, your works have been the works of righteousness upon the face of the earth?
17 Or do ye aimagine to yourselves that ye can lie unto the Lord in that day, and bsay—Lord, our works have been righteous works upon the face of the earth—and that he will save you?
18 Or otherwise, can ye imagine yourselves brought before the tribunal of God with your souls filled with guilt and remorse, having a remembrance of all your guilt, yea, a perfectaremembrance of all your wickedness, yea, a remembrance that ye have set at defiance the commandments of God?
19 I say unto you, can ye look up to God at that day with a pure heart and clean hands? I say unto you, can you look up, having theaimage of God engraven upon your countenances?
20 I say unto you, can ye think of being saved when you have yielded yourselves to become asubjects to the devil?
21 I say unto you, ye will know at that day that ye cannot beasaved; for there can no man be saved except his bgarments are washed white; yea, his garments must be cpurified until they are cleansed from all stain, through the blood of him of whom it has been spoken by our fathers, who should come to redeem his people from their sins.
22 And now I ask of you, my brethren, how will any of you feel, if ye shall stand before the bar of God, having your garments stained with ablood and all manner of bfilthiness? Behold, what will these things testify against you?
23 Behold will they not atestify that ye are murderers, yea, and also that ye are bguilty of all manner of wickedness?
24 Behold, my brethren, do ye suppose that such an one can have a place to sit down in the kingdom of God, with aAbraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob, and also all the holy prophets, whose garments are cleansed and are spotless, pure and white?
25 I say unto you, Nay; except ye make our Creator a liar from the beginning, or suppose that he is a liar from the beginning, ye cannot suppose that such can have place in the kingdom of heaven; but they shall be cast out for they are the achildren of the kingdom of the devil.
26 And now behold, I say unto you, my brethren, if ye have experienced a achange of heart, and if ye have felt to sing the bsongof redeeming love, I would ask, ccan ye feel so now?
27 Have ye walked, keeping yourselves ablameless before God? Could ye say, if ye were called to die at this time, within yourselves, that ye have been sufficiently bhumble? That your garments have been ccleansed and made white through the blood of Christ, who will come to dredeem his people from their sins?
28 Behold, are ye stripped of apride? I say unto you, if ye are not ye are not prepared to meet God. Behold ye must prepare quickly; for the kingdom of heaven is soon at hand, and such an one hath not eternal life.
29 Behold, I say, is there one among you who is not stripped ofaenvy? I say unto you that such an one is not prepared; and I would that he should prepare bquickly, for the hour is close at hand, and he knoweth not when the time shall come; for such an one is not found guiltless.
30 And again I say unto you, is there one among you that doth make a amock of his brother, or that heapeth upon him persecutions?
31 Wo unto such an one, for he is not prepared, and the atime is at hand that he must repent or he cannot be saved!
32 Yea, even wo unto all ye aworkers of iniquity; repent, repent, for the Lord God hath spoken it!
33 Behold, he sendeth an invitation unto aall men, for the barms of mercy are extended towards them, and he saith: Repent, and I will receive you.
 34 Yea, he saith: aCome unto me and ye shall partake of the bfruitof the tree of life; yea, ye shall eat and drink of the cbread and the waters of life dfreely;
35 Yea, come unto me and bring forth works of righteousness, and ye shall not be hewn down and cast into the fire—
36 For behold, the time is at hand that whosoever abringeth forth not good fruit, or whosoever doeth not the works of righteousness, the same have cause to wail and mourn.
37 O ye workers of iniquity; ye that are apuffed up in the vain things of the world, ye that have professed to have known the ways of righteousness nevertheless have gone bastray, as csheephaving no dshepherd, notwithstanding a shepherd hath ecalledafter you and is still calling after you, but ye will not fhearken unto his voice!
38 Behold, I say unto you, that the good ashepherd doth call you; yea, and in his own name he doth call you, which is the name of Christ; and if ye will not bhearken unto the voice of the cgood shepherd, to the dname by which ye are called, behold, ye are not the sheep of the good shepherd.
39 And now if ye are not the asheep of the good shepherd, of what fold are ye? Behold, I say unto you, that the bdevil is your shepherd, and ye are of his fold; and now, who can deny this? Behold, I say unto you, whosoever denieth this is a cliar and adchild of the devil.
40 For I say unto you that whatsoever is agood cometh from God, and whatsoever is bevil cometh from the devil.
41 Therefore, if a man bringeth forth agood works he hearkeneth unto the voice of the good shepherd, and he doth follow him; but whosoever bringeth forth evil works, the same becometh a bchildof the devil, for he hearkeneth unto his voice, and doth follow him.
42 And whosoever doeth this must receive his awages of him; therefore, for his bwages he receiveth cdeath, as to things pertaining unto righteousness, being dead unto all good works.
43 And now, my brethren, I would that ye should hear me, for I speak in the aenergy of my soul; for behold, I have spoken unto you plainly that ye cannot err, or have spoken according to the commandments of God.
44 For I am called to speak after this manner, according to theaholy order of God, which is in Christ Jesus; yea, I am commanded to stand and testify unto this people the things which have been spoken by our fathers concerning the things which are to come.
45 And this is not all. Do ye not suppose that I aknow of these things myself? Behold, I testify unto you that I do know that these things whereof I have spoken are true. And how do ye suppose that I know of their surety?
46 Behold, I say unto you they are made aknown unto me by the Holy Spirit of God. Behold, I have bfasted and prayed many days that I might know these things of myself. And now I do know of myself that they are true; for the Lord God hath made them manifest unto me by his Holy Spirit; and this is the spirit ofcrevelation which is in me.
47 And moreover, I say unto you that it has thus been revealed unto me, that the words which have been spoken by our fathers are true, even so according to the spirit of prophecy which is in me, which is also by the manifestation of the Spirit of God.
48 I say unto you, that I know of myself that whatsoever I shall say unto you, concerning that which is to come, is true; and I say unto you, that I know that Jesus Christ shall come, yea, the Son, the Only Begotten of the Father, full of grace, and mercy, and truth. And behold, it is he that cometh to take away the sins of the world, yea, the sins of every man who steadfastly believeth on his name.
49 And now I say unto you that this is the aorder after which I am called, yea, to preach unto my beloved brethren, yea, and every one that dwelleth in the land; yea, to preach unto all, both old and young, both bond and free; yea, I say unto you the aged, and also the middle aged, and the rising generation; yea, to cry unto them that they must repent and be bborn again.
50 Yea, thus saith the Spirit: Repent, all ye ends of the earth, for the kingdom of heaven is soon at hand; yea, the Son of God cometh in his aglory, in his might, majesty, power, and dominion. Yea, my beloved brethren, I say unto you, that the Spirit saith: Behold the glory of the bKing of all the earth; and also the King of heaven shall very soon shine forth among all the children of men.
51 And also the Spirit saith unto me, yea, crieth unto me with a mighty voice, saying: Go forth and say unto this people—Repent, for except ye repent ye can in nowise inherit the akingdom ofbheaven.
52 And again I say unto you, the Spirit saith: Behold, the aax is laid at the root of the tree; therefore every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit shall be bhewn down and cast into the fire, yea, a fire which cannot be consumed, even an unquenchable fire. Behold, and remember, the Holy One hath spoken it.
53 And now my beloved brethren, I say unto you, can ye withstand these sayings; yea, can ye lay aside these things, andatrample the Holy One under your feet; yea, can ye be bpuffed upin the pride of your hearts; yea, will ye still persist in the wearing of ccostly apparel and setting your hearts upon the vain things of the world, upon your driches?
54 Yea, will ye persist in supposing that ye are better one than another; yea, will ye persist in the persecution of your brethren, who humble themselves and do walk after the holy order of God, wherewith they have been brought into this church, having beenasanctified by the Holy Spirit, and they do bring forth works which are meet for repentance—
55 Yea, and will you persist in turning your backs upon the apoor, and the needy, and in withholding your substance from them?
56 And finally, all ye that will persist in your wickedness, I say unto you that these are they who shall be hewn down and cast into the fire except they speedily repent.
 57 And now I say unto you, all you that are desirous to follow the voice of the agood shepherd, come ye out from the wicked, and be ye bseparate, and touch not their unclean things; and behold, their names shall be cblotted out, that the names of the wicked shall not be numbered among the names of the righteous, that the word of God may be fulfilled, which saith: The names of the wicked shall not be mingled with the names of my people;
58 For the names of the righteous shall be written in the abook of life, and unto them will I grant an inheritance at my right hand. And now, my brethren, what have ye to say against this? I say unto you, if ye speak against it, it matters not, for the word of God must be fulfilled.
59 For what shepherd is there among you having many sheep doth not watch over them, that the wolves enter not and devour his flock? And behold, if a wolf enter his aflock doth he not drive him out? Yea, and at the last, if he can, he will destroy him.
60 And now I say unto you that the good shepherd doth call after you; and if you will hearken unto his voice he will bring you into his fold, and ye are his sheep; and he commandeth you that ye suffer no ravenous wolf to enter among you, that ye may not be destroyed.
61 And now I, Alma, do command you in the language of ahim who hath commanded me, that ye observe to do the words which I have spoken unto you.
62 I speak by way of command unto you that belong to the church; and unto those who do not belong to the church I speak by way of invitation, saying: Come and be baptized unto repentance, that ye also may be partakers of the fruit of the atree of life.
This is an inspiring Spiritual message , its a lesson that we all come across in each of our lives , it may seem to happen more times then what we may want it to.
But as long as we have faith , belief love , trust in ourselves , in Our Heavenly Father in our Saviors name many things will come to us , upon us that is good positive even positively emotional , it will show that what ever troubles that we may go through no matter how trying we will pull through , I know this to be more then true for I say this in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ Amen...
